Collecting and processing personal data
Personal data refers to the information that identifies you, e.g. your name, your address, e-mail or postal addresses. Xomnia only stores personal data from you when it is explicitly desired, e.g. when ordering information material, downloading a white paper or subscribing to newsletters. The cookie records the pages you have viewed and indicates whether you have downloaded documents, for example. It does not include information specific to you personally.
When ordering a newsletter or downloading a white paper, information of this nature may be linked to your personal data. This means that it is possible to identify the topics you are most interested in, based on what you have viewed. Upon request, you may receive information tailored to your profile.

Information collected automatically
When accessing the Xomnia BV website, general, non-personal information (such as your Internet browser, number of visits, average duration of visit, pages viewed) is collected automatically, i.e. not through a registration process. This information is used to enhance the appearance, contents and functionality of our website. In this case, as well, your data are not used for other purposes or disclosed to third parties.
This website uses Google Analytics, a Web analytics service of Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics utilizes so-called cookies, text files that are stored on your computer and make it possible to analyze your use of a website. The information generated by the cookie regarding your use of our website (including your IP address) is transmitted to and stored by a Google server. Google will use this information to analyze your use of the website, for the purpose of compiling reports of website activities for the website operators and providing additional services related to the use of the website and the Internet. In addition, Google will convey such information as appropriate to third parties, in the event that this is required by law or to the extent that third parties process such data on behalf of Google. In no case will Google link your IP address to other Google data. By adjusting your browser software settings, you may prevent cookies from being installed on your computer; however, note that if you do so, you may not be able to make full use of all of the website’s functionalities. Using this website constitutes your consent that Google may process data concerning your person in the manner and for the purpose described above. You may, at any time and effective from that point on, withdraw consent for data collection and storage by visiting http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en. Since there is considerable discussion regarding the use of analytics tools with complete IP addresses, we note that this website uses Google Analytics with the extension “_anonymizeIB()”. In other words, the site uses only shortened IP addresses, so it is impossible to establish a direct link to a specific individual.
Xomnia BV takes precautionary measures to protect your personal data against loss, destruction, falsification, manipulation and unauthorized access. It complies with the data protection laws of the Netherlands.
Xomnia BV strongly urges all parents and guardians to teach their children safe and responsible handling of personal data on the Internet. Minors should not enter or transmit personal data on the Xomnia BV website without the consent of their parents or guardians. Xomnia BV verifies that it does not knowingly collect personal data from minors, nor does it use such data in any way or disclose it to third parties without authorization.
