The car industry is well on its way with the first self-driving cars. But what about self-driving boats? Xomnia built the first self-driving boat in 2017 that works entirely on artificial intelligence. In this whitepaper we will take you on this autonomous vehicle journey. Whereas autonomous vehicle projects often invest millions and are based on robotics, it was our to get the boat self-driving based on artificial intelligence with a limited budget, cameras, and a deep learning application.
Xomnia continues to develop its self-driving boat and will keep investing in vehicle technology. We won’t do this alone, but actively seek market partners, jointly put our knowledge into practice.
Our first partnership Shipping Technology went live in the summer of 2018. Technology realizes autonomous shipping through far-reaching digitization of business on board. The team extracts and connects (nautical) data to make inland companies future proof with the newest technologies. Using artificial intelligence, Technology is able to develop automation systems, collision detection, and other systems. Shipping Technology is a joint venture created by Xomnia and inland shipping Shipping Factory.
This whitepaper focuses on the first self -driving boat based on artificial intelligence. Enjoy!
