We focussed our attention on growing our AI consultancy. Tackling challenging projects as an X-Force team for KLM, but also HEMA, Schiphol Airport, and Adidas – to name a few. Our joint venture, Shipping Technology, took off at a solid pace with its groundbreaking technology.
For the third consecutive year, we were nominated for an FD Gazellen Award. Growing at double digits. Maintaining healthy margins, independence, and the original Xomnia culture. A canal house full of exceptionally talented colleagues and many great moments.

Our 5 year existence, what a year!! We celebrated this milestone with Xomnia Fest. Our first very own mini-festival.
Our client portfolio grew so fast that we implemented a waiting list.
Doubling down on our commitment to helping more companies become data-driven with a new service – Xomnia Academy. This endeavour brought our own data science and engineering training curriculum to clients such as Gemeente Amsterdam.
In the summer we launched Shipping Technology, a partnership venture aimed at innovating the inland shipping sector with semi-autonomous shipping. An exciting new start-up.

People often say breaking the 50 team size barrier comes with challenges and we found the truth in this. We opened two extra floors at our HQ. Turned more attention to our internal organisation.
We optimised our processes and defined our longer term strategy. Systems are put in place to track business development, market exposure, team performance, etc. Despite our growing pains, we hit a major milestone. Named the 3rd fastest growing company in the Amsterdam region.
We celebrate 2017 as the year of Xomnia’s breakthrough and can’t wait to continue the rollercoaster that Xomnia has become.
Our decision to focus on sharing knowledge in data training programs starts to pay off. A rapidly expanding client base, accelerated by the launch of our junior development program. A major investment in additional senior data scientists and engineers sets a solid foundation for our services.
We purchased a larger boat. Ensuring we can still enjoy Friday afternoon beers on the Amsterdam canals with our growing team. This old blue lifeboat would soon become one of our trademarks.

Big data capabilities are slowly becoming a strategic asset at our clients. We notice the importance of sharing our big data knowledge. Starting with project handovers, but soon followed by providing big data training programs.
Also effective – subcontracting Xomnia’s senior Data Scientists and Engineers to our clients. We launch a partnership with RapidMiner, one of the leading global advanced analytics platforms. Fueling us with new market opportunities.
BigDataGemeenten goes live. This knowledge sharing initiative to support municipalities in becoming data driven becomes a respected platform. Helping us reach municipalities throughout North-Holland.
