Xomnia is a word combining the letter ‘X’ – the unknown – and “Omnia” – Latin for everything. Our team of data scientists and big data engineers are trained to find the undefined – X – in all the relevant data sources – Omnia. This unknown – X – is untapped business value. Combining the X and Omnia you get the Xomnia spirit. Eager, curious and dedicated people, who have the belief that the future is big data.

Who betrayed Anne Frank?

We are super proud to share that Xomnia is part of the investigation that is trying to find out who betrayed Anne Frank. Vince Pankoke, former FBI agent undercover agent leads the research team. This investigation is different from all previous attempts as it combines modern cold case techniques with the analytical power of artificial intelligence.

Can big data help finding out what led to the arrest of Anne Frank and the others hiding in the annex on August 4, 1944?

Background information

On August 4, 1944, after more than two years in hiding at the Prinsengracht 263 in Amsterdam, Anne Frank was arrested. What led to the arrest remains unclear to this day. Betrayal seemed to be the only logical conclusion, but by whom and why? Until now, most investigation was done by writers, journalists and/or historians, but never by a team of forensic investigators using cold case techniques and supported by artificial intelligence.
