Xomnia is a word combining the letter ‘X’ – the unknown – and “Omnia” – Latin for everything. Our team of data scientists and big data engineers are trained to find the undefined – X – in all the relevant data sources – Omnia. This unknown – X – is untapped business value. Combining the X and Omnia you get the Xomnia spirit. Eager, curious and dedicated people, who have the belief that the future is big data.
Schadegarant wants to optimally deploy costly expertise on car damage claims by realizing automatic anomaly detection. Anomaly in this context could, for example, mean that the proposed costs are exceptional, compared to similar historical damages. Or that the repair shop charged an incorrect price for a certain replaced car component, causing the claim to not pass a comprehensive set of business rules.
Xomnia has designed algorithms and filters which assess dossiers of car damages and highlight questionable ones. The algorithms run real-time in a highly customized GCP (Google Cloud Platform) infrastructure that is robust and scalable.
The application keeps Schadegarant in the leading position as an innovative organization within the car repair insurance industry. It enables Schadegarant to fully manage the algorithms’ settings and to implement the required business rules in a very user-friendly way, thereby completely automating live decision-making processes in a data-driven manner.
