We are in what Forrester Research calls “The Age of the Customer”, where customers, not companies, are driving business decisions. For this reason, it is more important than ever for companies to get to know their customers on a deeper level. Social Profiling uses publicly available social data to leverage this.
Xomnia built a social profiling solution to reveal valuable customer characteristics on a professional, educational and personal level.
- Professional: e.g. industry, company, job, competencies
- Educational: e.g. study discipline, language proficiency, level of education
- Personal: e.g. hobbies, interests, preferences (music, films, books)
Social profiling can strengthen predictive modelling and empower text analytics by providing user based context. It too could work as a recruitment solution. So far we applied a really basic version in a social media analysis project we did for Wegener. We too are testing this (beta) solution, nicknamed Xomnia Recruiter, with a recruitment company.
